Bodegas Tajinaste, Tradicional Tinto 2022

The Lorenzo family have been custodians of Bodegas Tajinaste since 1939, and are now into their third generation of family ownership. Based in the La Orotava Valley, in the north of the island of Tenerife, they harness everything this small volcanic island has to offer and produce some of its most exciting wine. Tradicional Tinto 2022 is made from 100% Listán Negro, the red grape for which the Canary Islands are best known. Dark garnet in colour, it has an intensely fruity nose of cherry, raspberry and some toasted notes from time spent in American oak. The medium-bodied palate is tempered with a balanced acidity and further fruity, spicy flavours. A great wine to pair with charcuterie.
